The volumes, which cover a range of drugs, let the facts about these substances speak for themselves. In doing so, the authors produce a reliable source of material for students writing reports or for those wanting to inform themselves. The books feature anecdotes from users that personalize the effects of these drugs. Their stories will draw teens to the series perhaps even more than the chemistry- and physiology-based passages. Sidebars provide additional material.
