Author's Biography Nell Charles began her writing career in England where she received an award for her first short story, The Last Birthday. She is the author of many short stories written for newspapers, magazines and monthly publications in Virginia, New Mexico and Alabama. This is her first historical fiction novel. Nell lives with her husband, Don in California.
