It's a blessing when an avid reader like myself discovers a "new writer" ( one that's new to me). Such is the case with Clifford "Spud" Johnson. This writer doesn't disappointment with HE DON'T PLAY FAIR. This novel features Preston "Papio" Ortiz, an urban gangster who is all about the money and the game. After getting out of federal prison , Papio's goal is to accumulate $100 million and get out of the game. As he explains it : "I play to win and I don't play fair." Back in Oklahoma City, he takes care of some unfinished business , which includes murder and mayhem. A ruthless , cold hearted gangster, Papio meets his match in Special, a woman in game that is all about her money. Too late Papio learns that she doesn't play fair. All the twists and turns of this story make for exciting reading. Papio's goal is $100 million but it is the reader of this street novel that comes out the winner! Read more
