What Good Men Do is a commingling of three stories of men who ran away; driven by hard times, convoluted self-pity, greed, narcissism, and good old fashioned malcontent, these three men strike out to chase their ideal lives with comic and tragic results. Joe Cleveland is an ex-teacher who expatriates to the US Virgin Islands to take over a radio station. He finds himself short on purpose until a mysterious explosion changes everything. Kyle Swathmore is a computer illiterate CEO of a dot-com business whose ego and lack of social skills cause him to lose a majority of his gains in a corporate takeover. Marty Everidge is a middle-aged middle manager whose inability to measure up to his wife's career success drives him into an alcoholic tailspin. Each man must fix their respective self-made messes. Their first-person telling only complicates matters, leaving the reader to enjoy the rationalizations. Scott Laliberte was born and raised in Concord, New Hampshire. The eldest of six children, he began making up stories at a young age and has been doing so ever since. While he has published several short stories and articles, this is his first novel. He lives in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire with his wife and daughter.
