Janie V. Hart's Life Lines is a collection of bits and pieces of things that affected the author's life, lessons she learned, or people who influenced her and left their mark on her memory. . It is not chronological, though it starts in the early 1930s and hops and skips all the way through 2016. History books will record the monumental things that happened during those years - Pearl Harbor, World War II, the moon landing, and 9/11 - but Janie Hart's recollections take on different subjects, perhaps not as monumental in a worldly sense, but important nevertheless to an ordinary person. She has included subjects such as lineage, living without electricity, the advent of computers, the joys of birth and the pain of death, plus the general challenges a person faces over the span of a lifetime. Some of those challenges are sad, but equally some are humorous. Enjoy the journey!
