The Interview is partially based on real life events. Lyla, a twenty-six year old unemployed graphic designer, who was laid off because of the World Trade Center Attack, decides that it's time to move out of her parents house and experiment with the world. In doing so, Lyla go's on interviews that seem as though sex is always involved. She goes on crazy adventures, constantly running away from her problems and spiraling back down to where she started. She decides to drive to the West coast where, in the midst of her journey, she meets Mike, a drug addicted hotel employee who constantly abuses her verbally. Will Lyla stay with Mike or will she decide to dump the loser and go on with her adventure to find a better life for herself? Will Lyla finally find a good job in her field that doesn't involve sex for The Interview?
