Exciting visual content will draw children to the 18-volume Super Bowl Champions series, in which each book introduces a single team that has won the Super Bowl. The books' dynamic page design and layouts increase the sense of movement and drama found in the colorful photos. The texts provide basic information, such as the NFL team's name, city, stadium, uniform colors, conference and division, and Super Bowl championship years. The remaining pages briefly spotlight aspects of the team's history, naming several star players and sometimes a notable coach along the way. Oakland Raiders mentions coach John Madden, running back Marcus Allen, and cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha. Each volume includes a child-friendly glossary and an index. Despite the cookie-cutter sameness of the books' texts, which include some identical and near-identical sentences, this is one of the few attractive football series with a text short enough for reading to young children.
