The 2001-02 Notre Dame Men's Basketball Guide, produced primarily for use by media covering the Fighting Irish, contains everything you's ever want to know about Coach Mike Brey's nationally ranked squad. The guide includes a preview and analysis of the 2001-02 Irish, sketches about the players and coaching staff, previews about Notre Dame's opponents, a review of the Irish's 2000-01 championship season, several pages about the history and tradition of Notre Dame, a detailed UND basketball record book, and a full description about the University, its staff, its programs and its facilities. For the first time in the 96-year history of Notre Dame's men's basketball program, a championship banner will hang in the rafters of the fabled Joyce Center. The Fighting Irish ended the 2000-01 campaign with a 20-10 record and earned a spot in the NCAA tournament, but its greatest accomplishment was winning the Big East regular-season title.
