Brett Favre arrived in Green Bay in 1992 with a name many Green Bay Packers fans couldn't pronounce; he retired after the 2007 season with a name most Packers fans will never forget. Few players in NFL history have played the game with the dedication, passion, and little-boy enthusiasm that the strong-armed, free-spirited gunslinger from Kiln, Mississippi, demonstrated on the field, winning not only the love of the fans, but the respect and admiration of his peers. In his 16 years under center in Green Bay, he won an unprecedented three consecutive Most Valuable Player awards, led the Packers to victory in Super Bowl XXXI, and guided the team to 13 winning seasons. Incredibly tough and durable, he started in a record 275 consecutive games, including the postseason.
