Paul Brenner, MD, PhD, is a psychosocial oncologist at the San Diego Cancer Research Institute (SDCRI) and the San Diego Cancer Center/ UCSD Health System. He has lectured throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia and was the moderator of the PBS series Healing Through Communication. He is the author of Buddha in the Waiting Room and Health Is a Question of Balance coauthor of Seeing Your Life Through New Eyes. Susan Wingate is an award-winning photographer specializing in black-and-white maternity and newborn images.
