Language in Mental Retardation

Synthesizes data in the area of language development and functioning in mentally retarded (MR) people with a discussion of questions relevant to theoretical issues in cognitive psychology, psycholinguistics and linguistics. Because language is a developmentally organized process and is modular, the authors use an approach which is process-oriented and structured according to a life- span developmental perspective.
