Contracts for independent readers: Realistic fiction

Setting up an independent reader program has never been easier! Each book in this new series allows your students to choose from ten readily available, grade-appropriate novels that will motivate them to read, read, read on their own! For each featured novel you'll find a book synopsis and author information, a materials list, and two reproducible contract pages. Each contract page provides a choice of six fun, cross-curricular learning activities. Keep track of each student's reading progress with a handy program management sheet, share the reproducible list of additional recommended novels, and watch as your students' enthusiasm for reading grows.
