End of Fall

When biologist Alan Foster takes to the mountains of southern California in search of threatened owls, the last thing he expects to encounter is murder. And when the body turns out to be the mysterious young woman he had befriended earlier in the forest, all kinds of problems descend on him. Can he prove his innocence and save his career and his marriage? More importantly, can he discover why she was murdered and thus avoid becoming the next victim?
