Young children feel same common emotions as an adults. Children get angry, sad, happy, scared, surprised or disgusted with something. But, they have difficulty with understanding what happens to them. Because children were not teached yet to understand and express how they are feeling. Instead they simply react by cry and screaming, throw or broke toys or feel frustrated. With this book parents can help children understand and express their emotions. You can explain the feeling by using things that child can easily understand. There are game, images and simple words. This book gives children one more opportunity to identify feelings in themselves and others. Book gives the feelings labels and then encouraging children to talk about how they are feeling. The idea is simple: read the book with a child together and play a game "guess what am I feeling?". You suppose an emotion to child, name it, and then show an emotion on a face. Book's characters (emoticons) will help you to show six common feelings: happy, sad, scared, angry, surprised or disgusted with something. Stop and talk more with a child, when you show one or another feeling. Describe something that makes you have that feeling Discuss the situations that your child might remember or that happen frequently and cause that feeling. Explain the behavior of family or friends and the emotions that accompany them. Next time when your child starts to act in inappropriate ways just remember to her or him about feelings. Simply ask him or her to close the face and say "I guess... you are ..."
