Padded bras, slumber parties, and tons of grape lip-gloss. Welcome to seventh grade in the seventies! The clothes are different. The TV shows are different. And the music is different. But two things remain the same: FRIENDSHIPS ARE INCREDIBLY TRICKY TO NAVIGATE, AND MIDDLE SCHOOL BOYS ARE A MYSTERY! Meet Tracey, otherwise known as Elvira (which is, according to Tracey, a much more exotic name) . Follow Tracey through the groovy disco soaked year of 1977, when she develops a crush on an eighth grade self proclaimed lady's man who goes by the name of Weird Willie. Tracey flirts with Willie a little, just for fun. She doesn't even really like him...AT FIRST. However, this innocent flirtation quickly takes on a life of it's own, leading Tracey down a dark and dangerous path... a path that teaches her important lessons about how she is communicates with both friends AND potential boyfriends.
