ESC-APE!: A Journey

A Rhesus Macaque escapes captivity and initially finds itself quietly cocooned in a small copse of trees on the outskirts of a private housing development, but inevitably, his presence is discovered by some of the incredulous residents. He makes friends and foes in equal measure, but situations and events change, and in an apocalyptic turn of events, Mother Nature takes a cruel twist against him. The events depicted at this point in the story, as unbelievable as they may read, actually took place in real life. Dark and ominous forces gather, and a desperate hunt begins to find and eradicate the beast which almost holds a city to ransom. Partly based on incredible fact, this story has colours of Watership Down, shades of E.T. the Extra Terrestrial and hues of Dustin Hoffman's movie Outbreak. Esc-Ape ... .
