This book contains nine episodes from the author's life. The title episode, 'Conversations with WS' is positioned at the end of all other tales, because of its length and of special importance. It's about kicking the habit of smoking. Kicking a deep rooted habit like smoking is an insurmountable ordeal. Most chain smokers, in the heart of their heart, will give anything in life to get rid of the dirty habit. The vice-like grip of the habit on you, makes you cry, crawl and plead many times. But, you plod along putting up with the misery. However, once in a while, rarely one comes across a gentleman like Mr. WS, who understands your predicament, infuses confidence in your self-belief that you can kick it, and helps you to break the shackles to free yourself from the clutches of a deep rooted evil. The pages of this book contain some very interesting and absorbing episodes about life in the southern India. the author starts with his growing up years in Madras, touches upon his puppy love and a teen crush which changed him, then goes on to describe incidents from college and grown up years. He gives some insight into how he steps out of his comfort zone occasionally, to rove like a tramp. A wholesome good read.
