Hoke sat back in his chair and felt a strange chill for the middle of summer. The candle flames flickered at the other end of the table. "An ill wind that blows nobody any good..." for some reason that proverb popped in his head. He shifted his eyes from the candles to Maria. She beamed as she pointed a finger past him. He twisted in his seat and decided it was a large painting on the far wall. Hoke was suddenly aware of the room. An enormous mirror faced him framed in cut glass and what looked like gemstones; it hadn't been there last year. Next to the mirror, two of Bobby's staff, who were dressed in white, waited at the serving door. Looks like Bobby's doing all right.

GOODREADS COMMUNITY REVIEW:
...Overall, I was pretty well entertained and the quality of the writing is pretty solid - IMO better than a lot of books that end up being blockbusters like the Hunger Games series.

For more book reviews see: goodreads.com/book/show/22336388-hoke

Tags: currency wars, petrodollar, new world order
