The Planets

An amazing book!

This book is really amazing! The pictures stir the imagination and please the eye, and the text is amazingly informative. I used this with my son (second grade) as an introduction to the solar system, and I have to admit it was a little too advanced for him. He did enjoy the pictures a lot and the info I selected to read to him was understandable, but I did have to pick and choose. This is in no way a complaint though, as I plan to reuse this book in a few years, and that will allow me to present a great deal of new info. Overall I am incredibly pleased with this book and I plan to use it for years to come. I highly recommend it to anyone with an interest in the planets, or for a homeschool library. Read more
