A cache of diamonds is stolen in Phoenix. The prime suspect is former Maricopa County Sheriff Mike Peralta, now a private investigator. Disappearing into Arizonas mountainous High Country, Peralta leaves his business partner and longtime friend David Mapstone with a stark choice.
