Fr. Michael Müller C.Ss.R. (1825 - 1899) was a prolific Catholic writer in the United States. He did his theological studies in Cumberland, Maryland, and was ordained in 1853, by a Redemptorist Bishop of Philadelphia. In 1862, Mueller became the pastor of a parish in Maryland, where he remained until 1866. Afterward, he served the Redemptorist communities of America in a variety of capacities. In this catechism he states the Catholic faith plainly and clearly in fours parts covering the topics of "What We Must Believe", "What We Must Do", and the "Means of Grace". Also included is an Appendix which provides "A Rule Of Life: For Those Who, Living In The World, Aspire After Perfection."
