Mates will do anything for each other. Isn't that what they say?

Ryan Morrison is the typical country bloke made good -- a recent graduate in Genetic Microbiology and now somehow landed his dream job in Bioprospecting. He works for GenTec, a United States based Biotechnology Company with a genetic research facility in Adelaide, Australia.

Ryan's best mate is Jake Kelly, born on the land to work on the land. Like most, he has a few weaknesses and one of these is to smoke an occasional joint rolled from his own home grown, totally organic cannabis.

While Jake reckons his cannabis is some of the best around, he thinks Ryan, in his new role as a Genetic Microbiologist, may be able to assist him in making it even better. Ryan's strong morals at first deter him. However, his even stronger allegiance to friendship finally convinces him to use his scientific talents.

Ryan has told Jake the whole process to genetically modify a cannabis plant will take years. But Ryan hasn't counted on some undercover, high level assistance from the United States. He also has not calculated just how high the stakes will reach in this innocent attempt to maintain his lifelong friendship.

Ted Corrigan, who has ambitions for the highest political office, can see Ryan's work as a means to an end. He will go to any lengths to ensure that his future ambitions are realised, even if this means sending a team of operatives to a small country town in the far north of outback South Australia, with orders to cleanse and retrieve -- but most importantly, to cleanse.

Remember, when your Mum said, 'don't touch'? She just might have been right.
