When Israeli counter-terrorism agent Sam Deker thwarts an attempt by radical Palestinians to blow up Jerusalem's Dome of the Rock, little does he realize that the threat is a diversion. His deep knowledge of Israel's most closely guarded state secret means that he is the real target. Taken to neighbouring Jordan to be tortured, when Deker finally comes round he doesn't know if he is dead, in some torture-induced psychosis, or if stranger things are afoot, because he appears to have woken up in the middle of the ancient Israelite army on the eve of its historic siege of Jericho. General Bin Nun has declared a holy war of Biblical proportions, and Deker's only chance of escape is to go on a dangerous mission to spy out the Promised Land in advance of the invasion.
