The Commands Of Love

Love is a word that is uttered so easily and so frequently yet so mysterious in meaning. "I love it/him/her," many people will say in reference to their emotional feelings. But what is love? Is it an emotion that changes with circumstances? How is it attained and how is it manifested in reality? This book discusses love from a biblical perspective with a view to establishing the reality of love. The Bible declares that "God is love." It therefore follows that for one to understand love, one must start with God. God has revealed himself through His word and we are therefore not left ignorant. In His commandment to his disciples, Jesus said, "A new commandment I give you; love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love another." This then is our mission in God and for God.
