Hope & Helium

Greed is a form of hope; and hope is defined as the confusion of the desire for an occurrence with its probability. Helium is self-explanatory. Contained in this true story of how three limited partnership brokers stole more than twenty-six million dollars from investors and got away with it is the layered age-old battle between one's intellect and one's heart. Blaise Christopher, Mike Manoukian and Cecil Roberts are brokers bouncing around Los Angeles searching for that elusive partnership that will pay its clients as proposed. Having witnessed untold millions of dollars stolen with seeming impunity, Blaise and Mike reunite to sell a scam of their own. After raising twenty-six million dollars from unsuspecting investors, Blaise and Mike send letters to those from whom they have stolen, describing what they did and why they did it. They then flee the country with the money, leaving Cecil behind. A guilt ridden Cecil returns his take of the pelf, which subsequently gets him arrested. It's at this point that the concept of Hope and Helium unfolds.
