Written by Irene B. Brand published her first books 1984. She became a Barbour author in 1990. By the end of 2007, she will have published forty-four books. Irene lives with her husband, Rod, in South Side, West Virginia. She is active in her local Baptist Church. The herbs mentioned in her story were carefully researched and are authentic to the era.
