Tessa Russo is a stay-at-home mother of two and the wife of Nick Russo, a renowned pediatric surgeon. Valerie Anderson is an attorney and single mother to six-year-old Charlie -- a little boy who has never known his father. Although they live in the same upscale Boston suburb, the two women have relatively little in common. Until one night, when Charlie is at a sleepover, and a split-second accident sends him to the hospital and Dr. Russo.
