Thea Kronborg is a beautiful, talented young woman growing up in Moonstone, Colorado, in the 1890s. The daughter of a Swedish clergyman, Thea dreams of becoming a famous opera star, but to fulfill that dream she must leave her rural home behind. Thea travels to Chicago to study, embarking on a path that will eventually lead her towards New York City's Metropolitan Opera House -- and away from the humble town she can't forget.
