PreSchool-Grade 2–One or two simple sentences in large type face beautiful full-page, full-color photographs of the animal under discussion. In describing the cats and their way of life, the author mentions that few cheetahs still live in the wild, but that they are protected in parks. On one page, readers are informed that lions have big teeth and on another, that they eat meat. Most of the pictures are of inactive lions. Each book has a table of contents and a link to the PowerKids Web site, which is updated regularly.
