Snyders' writing on Batman has received critical acclaim, but frankly this is his real amazing work. American Vampire is the vampire story you want to read if you're not a fan of Vampire Diaries or Twilight. This is for real horror fans. That's not to say this is all slasher type violence, as the relationship of Pearl and Henry is at the heart of the series and really hits home with its simplicity. Honestly, any fan of Snyders' work will love it, or just any fan of the story telling medium as well. Read more
