Contemporary Christianity takes an objective look at the trend to the contemporary in the Christian Religion. Dr. Jimmie L. Chapman, a retired Christian minister of forty five years, draws on his experiences and studies to present what he believes to be a covert effort to compromise the purity of the Christian religion. He sees many modern churches, as well as many individual Christians, unwitting cooperatives in the contemporary movement. "Too many Christians have fallen for the idea that Christianity has lost touch with the contemporary culture and is no longer relevant. The contemporary movement is disguised as an effort to bring Christianity up to date," he said.
