Over-Sexualization of Black Women in America

Black women have been dehumanized through sexual objectification in the United States of America for hundreds of years and are still being degraded to this very day. The history behind this needs to be shared with the world so that the negative untruths about the black woman can be dispelled and our young women will understand that media, news, music, and television are also tools used to take away her intelligence, respect, strength, beauty, and self-pride in which she innately owns."The black woman is the most significant human being in this world, and we must always love, respect, uplift, and protect her by any means necessary." - Avery Washington
