This book is an outstanding journey through the annals of history and the love of the game of Basketball, as told by a single man, yet experienced by millions of athletes throughout the world. In my own experiences with the game and the people who I have met through it, from such notable places as Lithuania, Hungary and Philadelphia, to such hamlets like Klickitat, Washington, Hobson, Montana, and Sherman County, Oregon, all have similar stories and wonderful memories of growing and competing, through this beautiful game and the aura surrounding it. As I lived part of this journey, and then advanced my love for hoops down a different but parallel road, Pat has captured the essence of this affair in a wonderful way. I only wish that the book was longer, as I hated for the story to end! To me, his work is a masterpiece. Anyone connected to Basketball, as a fan, a coach, a parent or especially a player with a passion for the game, whether they are from the NBA or the local school yard, will love it too! Read more
