Courage in Crises: Beyond Abuse, Anger and Addiction

Based on the life of James Brown, the author shares the many crises in his sordid life. This includes being raped by a male cousin at age 6, getting addicted to drugs and alcohol by 13, going from a Navy seaman to drug dealer at 21, and struggling with power, money, and sex until he almost lost his life for a third time. After being inspired by a powerful message, James went on to examine his shortcomings and ultimately overcome his personal demons. Thus, he gives readers the opportunity to examine their own shortcomings, so they too can gain courage in their crises.
