6 Seattle Walks

A short version of Urban Walks, 23 Walks through Seattle’s Parks and Neighborhoods, this slim book has six self-guided walks in downtown Seattle. Each goes through a different part of downtown: The Pike Place Public Market, Pioneer Square, the International District, the Business District, the Waterfront, and Myrtle Edwards Park, giving the reader/walker a history of the city as well as a picturesque way to see it. Each walk includes history about the area, “how to get there” directions, what to look for along the route, a map and an illustration of the area, the type of terrain and the approximate time the walk will take.
