It took me over 12 years to write this book, probably because it took me that long to really live what I was writing about and I didn't want to just put something out there before I'd lived it. I wrote this book because it was the book I needed to read. I'd read all kinds of self-help books on career, but I could never find a book that went past the great ideas of how to do the work you love and showed me the actual living through the fear and wonder of the journey. So that's the book I wrote.
