About the Author Scott Martin was born in New York City in 1952. In 1959 the Martins moved to Hastings-on-Hudson, Westchester County, New York. Scott attended public schools there through 1970. In 1971 Scott studied poetry and drama at Grove Street College in Oakland, California. Later he took important courses at The New School, York College (in Jamaica, Queens), and New York University. Scott is married and has one daughter.
