Granard: Its history, our heritage

A veritable treasure house of history, Granard and its environs is justly proud of its past. Mindful of our heritage and the obligation to help perpetuate it, a local history group was formed in the I.C.A. Guild. Nine members met regularly over twelve months to study, discuss and edit a wealth of material ... The research entailed letters and visits to the National Library, delving into old parish registers, taking photographs and interviewing old residents who were more than willing to talk of times past.
