The Regulatory Process for Nuclear Power Reactors : A Review (CSIS Panel Reports)

This report examines Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) operational practices and its regulation of nuclear plants. The report focuses on thirteen issues that affect interactions among NRC, industry, and the public. CSIS undertook this review because the nuclear power industry today must adapt to the increasingly competitive world of electric power generation. Working group members included representatives of the public and private sectors, including public interest groups.
