The Book of the Revelation: Outlined Studies

The book of the Revelation is one of the most neglected and most controversial books in the Bible. The various viewpoints of different writers make this book confessedly one of the most difficult to interpret. Some seminaries avoid it, barely making mention of it in a New Testament survey course. Man has attempted to do with this book the very thing that God, in the book, told him not to do, namely, "Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand" (Revelation 22:10) . It was written to be read and understood. This book is a book of consummation, thus it is fitting that it should have been assigned the last place in the Bible. One careful reading of the Bible will convince anyone that this inspired volume forms a complete cycle. Genesis is the book of commencement; Revelation is the book of consummation. Revelation is an excellent finish to the divine library. States the author in his Prefatory Note here, "The messages in this book were prepared during many weeks and months in a very busy and active pastorate. They are not for scholars and exegetes, but for plain people." These are devotional yet practical studies of the Revelation, "pages for the heart and mind both," presented under twenty-six chapter headings.
