Language in Native Title

The 13 papers grew out of an October 1999 workshop associated with the annual conference of the Australian Linguistic Society at the University of Western Australia, though they do not correspond precisely with the presentations there. Mostly language scholars, but also anthropologists and native advocates, explore linguistic matters arising in the various claims by Indigenous people in Australia. Distributed in the US by ISBS.
