<p>Daniel Killstraight is on his way back to the Comanche reservation after spending seven years learning the ways of whites at a special school back East. But he's met with a grisly homecoming: the hanging of his childhood friend Jimmy Comes Last for a horrific double murder. When asked by his old friend's mother to prove that her dead son was innocent, Daniel can't say no.<br> </p><p>Caught between two worlds, Daniel struggles to carve out a place for himself and track down the truth.
