K-Gr. 2. Like others in the new I Like to Visit series in the Early Learning Library, this photo-essay about children visiting the library is as simple as can be. The text is in the first person, but it's never clear who the narrator is, since many different children appear in the full-bleed color photos that face the large-print text. One picture shows a child being helped by a librarian (the young, hip variety); in another, a little girl with corn rows is looking at a book about pets. Gorman also tells children that it's good to be quiet in the library and that library books should be returned on time. A short glossary and a bibliography are appended.
