The Military Buildup in the High North: American and Nordic Perspectives

This book provides a much needed reassessment of the military balance in Northern Europe. The essays discuss the character and scope of the Soviet military buildup in the High North, possible future directions it might take, implications for the security of the Scandinavian nations and alternative strategies for developing the delicate balance of measures needed to safeguard the independence of the nations in the area.
