Betsy Devonshire, owner of The Crewel World needle shop, is once again trying to unravel the threads of a mystery. Her shop manager is accused of the murder of his estranged lover. Ferris spends most of her time on character development and needlework references. Melissa Hughes's performance is entertaining as she brings each of the characters to life. Her straight-faced delivery of the needlework puns adds a light touch of humor. The mystery is enjoyable even if you aren't into the needle crafts, but if you're looking for a good reason to curl up with your canvas or knitting, pop in the CD and stitch away.
