When guests and staff complain of a ghostly presence in Melody House, a Colonial manor in Virginia, the owner must concede that something otherworldy is going on. He reluctantly hires a "ghostbusting" firm, who investigate a murder that supposedly occurred in the nineteenth century. But the more they investigate, the more they begin to believe that another murder has taken place more recently.
