The Life, Letters and Journals of Lord Byron

A biography of Byron taken from his own notes and recollections of those who knew him. This is the illustrated edition, containing several plates of people and places in Byron's life. The book is bound in a mahogany colored leather with design frame in gold. The page edges are also in gold. Whereas some editions broke this into several volumes, this particular version contains the whole narrative in one large volume. The appendix contains several notes and reviews, one by Lady Byron herself, and many of Byron's other writings including "Review of Wordsworth's Poems" his speech to Parliment in 1812, a fragment of Polidori's "Vampire" and other letters. A superb look into the life of Byron.
