Sibling Relationships in Step-Families: A Sociological Study

This study examines family ties and sibling relationships (full siblings, half siblings, and step siblings) in remarried families in the US. It offers an understanding of the challenges remarried families face, and provides insight into remarried family life. The study employs a variety of research methods, and provides a perspective on remarried families from individuals at different stages in the life course, particularly young adults, older adults, and adults in a newly formed remarried family. The book will be of interest to professionals who deal with remarried families, including counselors and child psychologists. Diderich teaches sociology at Shawnee State University.
