What Do Astronauts Do? (I Like Space!)

Grade 1–3—Using a question-and-answer format, these titles offer brief, unsystematic but unusually specific information on a variety of astronomical topics. In Astronauts, fledgling readers will discover not only some of the sorts of work that is done in space, but also what's on the menu, how space travelers sleep and, of course, how one uses the potty in zero-g. The tour in Solar System begins with the sun, ends out in the Kuiper Belt and the Oort Cloud, and in between touches on the eight planets' compositions, relative sizes, and selected moons, along with glimpses of asteroids and comets. Most of the illustrations are color photos, and each volume closes with an abbreviated list of job titles (answering the question "Who studies the solar system?" in Solar System) as well as several print and Web resources.
