Updated editions of Barron's popular On the Go foreign language-learning packages feature updated dialogue that more closely reflects contemporary scene in Continental European countries. Also noteworthy are changes in German On the Go that coincide with officially sanctioned changes and updatings in grammar as it is now being taught in German schools. On the Go programs use cassette tapes to emphasize elementary speaking and listening comprehension in the target language. Oral exercises encourage listeners to absorb language fundamentals, then use listen-and-repeat exercises to teach words and phrases expecially useful to travellers. Packages consist of two 90-minute cassettes with a script booklet. They're ideal for language-learning while driving a car or jogging in the park with a Walkman.
